FAQ
- What programs do I need for this course?
- The only program required is Autodesk Maya. I understand Maya is an expensive program to own for personal use but students may benefit from getting three - one month trials. Maya allows each account to get a free one month trial. It is possible to extend the trial for the duration of this course.
- Do I get One-on-One instruction?
- Yes! Even though this course is run as a class setting, every student will get the chance to ask questions, get weekly feedback and critiques on their work, and meet with me outside of class hours for additional help.
- Do I get college credit or a certificate upon completing this course?
- A certificate will be rewarded to all students with a satisfactory competition of the course. It will be in digital format and can be put on resumes and job pages. No college credit can be earned but I recommend college students speak with their academic counselors to discuss if a course could be waived due to the students advanced ability.
- What happens if I miss a class?
- If you miss a class, it is your responsibility to reach out to me to ask questions and find out about assignments. You don't get a grade or get in trouble at all in this class. There is no attendance policy because everything is focused on furthering skills and keeping up with the course is just the best way to do that, but it is ultimately up to you.

- Your portfolio looks really elegant, but I like robots, spaceships, and weapons. Do you teach that?
- Yes. My specific style as an artist doesn't impede on what I teach. Students will always be able to express their own style and creativity. You will benefit just as much from this course as someone who makes completely opposite things as you. Maya is full of opportunity for imagination and creativity.
